How did I forget to document our yearly beach camp trip- I was such a slacker in 2013! What can I say, beach camp is always AH-MA-ZING!!! Love that every year Charlie and Noah sit up on the rocks together to eat their lunch, love those 2. The Grunts still would fall asleep on me but for the most part stayed up all day. Grant had actually decided to potty train himself the day before we left for beach camp. We were at Target and he tells me he needs to go to the bathroom. I of course thought, yeah right. But low and behold he did and to top it off he went #2!!! The first few days it was a pain taking him to the bathroom every hour while camping. One day while down on the beach he wouldn't go in the water so at one point he seriously sat on a bucket at went (hey the bucket was broken, we didn't use it again!). He kind of regressed since I wasn't good about taking him to the bathroom but literally as soon as we got home he was fully trained, no accidents! It is so fun having more and more cousins join us camping. Noah was Landon's (my cousins 15 year old son) shadow, he loved that kid and Landon was sweet to actually hang out and talk with Noah.

Birthday in Catalina
In celebration of my 31st Birthday we took the ferry over to Catalina Island which was my first time. It was so much fun. On the day of your birthday the island has a ton of free or discounted things to do. I was able to go parasailing for the first time for free, got a delicious free ice cream, and a free lunch. Parasailing was the highlight of our trip. It was so quiet and peaceful up in the air (and a little scary) and then the driver thought it'd be fun to dip us in the water, which I guess I did agree to! We were able to see Superman in the theater that was built in the 1900's. We also took a nice hike through the botanical gardens to the Wrigley's Memorial. The weather was perfect and we truly had such a nice relaxing time.
Color Run
Once again another late post that I wish I had put up earlier. I know I am not much of a runner but I love the Color Me Rad 5k! So fun running in the middle of downtown with some fun girls and then at the end get blasted in color. Can't wait for this year to do it again.

Yosemite Reprise
Mid July we made the long trek to yosemite with the boys. We left at night and drove straight to Bishop and then the next morning met up with the rest of the fam and made the long windy drive to Yosemite. The boys did awesome, I was really worried about Grant since his stomach is not a fan of windy roads- thank goodness for dramamine! The boys absolutely loved yosemite. They couldn't get enough of playing in the water and dirt- they loved getting dirty (as pictured above, look at those dirty faces). We did lots of fun hikes, tubing down the freezing cold river, riding bikes through the trees (especially to ride for some ice-cream).
First Desert trip
Finally got some old pics from my sister Whitney since she really is the better photographer!!! This was the boys first trip to the desert along with myself and Dan. In May 2012 I for some reason bought Dan a dirt bike for his birthday. Not too sure what month this was from but the boys just loved being out in the open and getting dirty since we all know that doesn't happen very often; I am always wanting them to stay clean! I just love the pictures of them playing together. Though it is hard having them so close in age I wouldn't change anything- they're best buds!
Catching up...My 30th Bday Surprise
So this is one of many posts to come, I have seemed to fall behind. Soooo with that said I am gonna first go back to June 28th 2012...I know right!!! I have always wanted a surprise Birthday party and my lovely husband pulled it off. He told me we were gonna take a bay ride with the boys and our parents. This is a normal thing since my Dad had a boat but when I arrived all my friends and family were at the bay awaiting my arrival. Now I do have to admit I had a clue he was up to something. He left the list of food items my mom made for him on his dresser but I had no clue when or where, so this day truly caught me by surprise!!! He made it a family Birthday so there were tons of kids with a pinata and all, yummy food, and he even purchased a new volley ball net since he knows how much I like to play. The day was perfect and I couldn't have been happier.

Mid July we had the adventure of a lifetime in beautiful Yosemite. The boys loved every minute of it, so much exploring for them to do. Though the boys were not a fan of the last minute family photo shoot, I must say I think they turned out pretty darn good- thanks Whit. The first night we were there I was up most of the night trying not to throw up until about an hour after hanging out in the dark bug infested restroom, relief finally came. For the next 2 days I was pretty much out of commission. Then Dan accomplished the beast of a hike otherwise known as Half Dome and then the next day he vomited and then couldn't walk for 2 days! So for the week we were there the last 2 days were probably the best since Dan and I were both back to ourselves. Great memories were made and we were so glad we were all able to go together this year.
