Happy 5th Anniversary!

Our yummy deserts from ROY'S!!!
So yesterday, October 3rd was our 5 year anniversary; wow where does the time go.  We went to an awesome restaurant called Roy's in La Jolla and then went and saw Ghost Town (which was hilarious).  It was very hard leaving Noah but I knew he was in good hands, thank you mom.  I am so grateful for my husband, he is truly my best friend.  I have been waiting to post the first thing I have ever made.  Ever since we were married I always had the idea to use my bridesmaid skirts to create a quilt w/various pic's.  After 5 years I finally did it.  I didn't think I would be the one making it but I am glad my friend made me do it all, with her direction of course.  It was that more special knowing that I made this quilt for Dan all on my own!  I had finished it a couple months ago so it was very hard not giving it to him right away.  So here are some pic's of the quilt I made, it's not perfect but I am very happy in how it turned out.
The 4 different shades of the shiny material (raw silk) were my bridesmaid skirts.

WEST SI-IDE!!!

So I got one of the cutest presents ever from my cousin Meghan the other day.  They're Trumpette from Nordstrom; they are socks made to look like shoes.  I know they don't quit fit yet but I had to try them out.  Noah felt so cool in them he had to put up his gang signs, West Si-ide!!!

Well I am already getting carried away with pictures but I don't want to miss anything, he is too cute!!!

Noah Daniel Brashear is here!!!

This was the last picture we got a week before his delivery; since we were in such a hurry we forgot to get one last pic right before I delivered.

So I thought since little baby Noah is asleep I would post a few pictures.  On September 12th at 5am I was awoken by a pop!  I had no idea that the popping sensation was my water breaking.  I had always thought that there would be a big gush of water. I actually took the time to take a shower, not sure if I needed to go to the hospital.  After I got out of the shower I knew it was time to go since my contractions were about 3-4 minutes apart.  Dan did a great job at staying calm and arrived to the hospital safely.  We arrived to the hospital and they took all my information, I tried to keep from crying but my hormones are all out of whack!!!  They put me in a delivery room right away and found that I was dilated at a 3.  I couldn't believe it, I am so grateful that my doctor kept postponing my inductions for the last 2 weeks.  By 6:30 I was able to get an epidural.  Thank goodness, I love how the nurses tell you to relax and breath through the contractions so you can dilate quicker- easier said than done!  At 7:45 I was dilated at a 4 to 5 and then at 8:45 I was at a 9!  The nurse couldn't believe it, for a first time pregnancy you should not be ready to push in 3 hours!!!  At 9 they were all set up and found that I was now dilated at a 10 and ready to push but unfortunately my doctor was stuck in the OR.  I had to wait 2 HOURS before I could start pushing; I seriously felt like I had to keep my legs closed to keep Noah in.  At 10:50 the doctor finally arrived and at 11:01 Noah Daniel Brashear was born. I know we had said he would be Noah James but when he came out James just didn't feel right. He was 7 pounds 15 ounces and 21 inches long.  He is such a healthy boy, I couldn't have asked for a better first experience. We feel so blessed and are learning a lot.

The Jesperson Clan August 2008

What a good looking group of people!  This is the family of Elmer and Geraldine Jesperson, the best grandparents anyone could ask for.  At about 2 am Saturday the 30th of August my loving Grandma of 87 years past away in her sleep.  It was very unexpected, I just had seen her on Thursday, outside walking around seeming as healthy as she could be.  I know that this is the way she wanted to go, with her husband by her side- not in the hospital or in any pain.  My Grandma was such a beautiful woman and a loving Grandma. I am grateful for the knowledge in knowing that I will be able to return with her again.

***BEACH CAMP 07'**

Yeah, I can finally post something since my camera is finally working- never knew how much you could miss a camera!
Ok, so I think it is time to have one of my own! I know it is pretty silly to have all these pic's but I love my niece so much. Though she can be quit difficult at times she is so cute so I get over that real fast! I had absoulutely no pictures of me that were ok to show anyone, they were all pretty bad. I spent a few days at the beach with the fam in Carlsbad last month. I love the beach and I am way excited that we get to go next week so hopefully I can get some better pictures. We have been camping at the beach every summer since I was little. This has always been one of my favorite childhood memories and I hope that I can do this with my family some day.

We had a great time at girls camp. We were the Incredible Hulks so we made sure everyone had there green and purple on. Kelly and Katie made sure to have there Hulk hats on at all times, the girls- not so much!!! It was so relaxing, I even had time to do some meditating as you can see in one of the pic's!!! The girls are so awesome and I am so thankful that I get to work with them and see how much they have grown, both spiritually and physically.
