First Days...

Noah's first day of Transitional Kindergarten was September 3rd.  I thought it would be best not to start him in actual Kindergarten (though there is no difference- he's in school 8:40-2:30) since he didn't turn 5 until the 12th.  I believe 2 years of Kinder will be better so that way he's a little older, bigger, and more mature.  He of course cried along with  myself the first day but ever since has been great.  He is in Spanish Immersion and is loving the language.  Then Grant started his first session of Preschool with the lovely Mrs. Patty on October 2nd.  He was used to going to the classroom when Noah had Mrs. Patty so leaving him he had no problems!  Can't believe both of my baby boys are in school!

Beach Camp 2013

How did I forget to document our yearly beach camp trip- I was such a slacker in 2013!  What can I say, beach camp is always AH-MA-ZING!!!  Love that every year Charlie and Noah sit up on the rocks together to eat their lunch, love those 2.  The Grunts still would fall asleep on me but for the most part stayed up all day.  Grant had actually decided to potty train himself the day before we left for beach camp.  We were at Target and he tells me he needs to go to the bathroom.  I of course thought, yeah right.  But low and behold he did and to top it off he went #2!!!  The first few days it was a pain taking him to the bathroom every hour while camping.  One day while down on the beach he wouldn't go in the water so at one point he seriously sat on a bucket at went (hey the bucket was broken, we didn't use it again!).  He kind of regressed since I wasn't good about taking him to the bathroom but literally as soon as we got home he was fully trained, no accidents!  It is so fun having more and more cousins join us camping.  Noah was Landon's (my cousins 15 year old son) shadow, he loved that kid and Landon was sweet to actually hang out and talk with Noah.

Birthday in Catalina

In celebration of my 31st Birthday we took the ferry over to Catalina Island which was my first time. It was so much fun.  On the day of your birthday the island has a ton of free or discounted things to do.  I was able to go parasailing for the first time for free, got a delicious free ice cream, and a free lunch.  Parasailing was the highlight of our trip.  It was so quiet and peaceful up in the air (and a little scary) and then the driver thought it'd be fun to dip us in the water, which I guess I did agree to! We were able to see Superman in the theater that was built in the 1900's. We also took a nice hike through the botanical gardens to the Wrigley's Memorial.  The weather was perfect and we truly had such a nice relaxing time.

Color Run

Once again another late post that I wish I had put up earlier.  I know I am not much of a runner but I love the Color Me Rad 5k!  So fun running in the middle of downtown with some fun girls and then at the end get blasted in color.  Can't wait for this year to do it again.
