Christmas Card

This year my lovely sister Whitney took our Christmas pic's.  I had in my head that we would take our pictures in front of this old worn down white washed building in El Cajon.  When we got to the location we found that the building had been painted- whaaaat. Not knowing where else to go we decided to go to the bridge in Jamul which actually turned out pretty great.  There were of course of ton of other people with the same idea!  The boys were of course pretty crazy.  This is the 3rd year Whitney has taken our pictures and she has learned that usually the VERY LAST picture is the keeper!  And sure enough it happened again!  Poor Noah had a scab under his eye and the day before gave himself a swollen lip- thank goodness for photo shop!!!

The boy being silly after the photo shoot.

Randomness...

Fun day at the Science Museum, thanks to Erin we were able to get in for free!!!

Pajama Day at school.

Cutest boys in town.

This cute little cafe by Erin's salon has been our lunch date the last couple weeks. Dan was so sweet to actually go to lunch with Grant and I even though he could have gone to Banbu Sushi for free.  Grant was so cute and wanted to take a picture of Dan and I.

These 2 boys are seriously the best of friends.  Grant is always asking when we can go see Tyler or if we are going to the park Grant will always ask if Tyler will be there!!!  Noah at times gets jealous, saying "mom, I think Grant loves Tyler more than me.  He only wants to play with Tyler."  I was trying to explain to Noah that Grant doesn't always get to see Tyler and as I am saying this I look over and see Grant and Tyler holding hands!!! They will be starting kindergarten together in 2016, it'll be fun to have them in the same class.

Sometimes it is good to just get out of the house on Sunday's for a family day.  Of course I always choose the beach.  It was crazy when we were driving home how thick the fog was.  The boys were a little scared, not knowing what may be on the other side!!!

This boy still enjoys a nap from time to time but I never let him since he thinks he gets to stay up all night till 11pm!!!

For the 100th day of school we turned Noah into the cutest old man ever.  I was able to steal a picture with one of his best buds, Sebastian.

Noah's first time in a skybox at Seaworld.  Hr was a little nervous going over the water but on the way back he was doing better and was willing to smile.

We always love days at Santee Lakes.  Grant put a leaf on his head for "good luck", he is such a weird kid!

Such a fun Thanksgiving this year at Wildwood Ranch.  Next year we will be having a family reunion so we had a dry run with the Fords and Cloes's.  It was a lot of fun actually.  The boys tried archery for the first time.  I'm a mean mom and made Noah try zip lining.  His poor little heart was beating out of his chest and he looked so nervous.  He is so little that at the end of the line is poor little body looked like a rag doll.  Surprisingly he said he had fun but of course didn't want to try it again.  There was also a huge grass area where the kids played laser tag and soccer.  It's gonna be a little crazy with over 150 people next year but it'll be great to see everyone.

I think Grant has seen me wear this icepack far too often.  I have had a pain to my Left shoulder for over 3 years after a fall at work, so over it.

This cute boy of mine pretty much crawls into my bed with me every night.  He just says "mom" and I somehow easily awake & pull him into bed so we can spoon!  He goes right back to sleep and I wake up with a dead arm!

These boys sure love any opportunity to go to the desert.

Noah did so good at their schools jog-a-thon.  I was pleasantly surprised that he didn't stop running even though it was like 80 degrees out.  He was able to finish completing 11 laps.

The other day we came home to find that a firetruck had broken down right in front of our home.  The fireman were so nice to give the boys a tour and let them sit in the truck.

Sweethearts...

Why do I do this to myself.  I made these Valentine's for the boys to take to school. $20 and 5 hours later, I was done!!!

Grant and his first Valentine's Day at school.  He sure like Mrs. Katie but hasn't given into a hug, just a hand shake!

It was so nice celebrating Valentine's Day on a Saturday.  We were able to wake up and be lazy, complete with some heart pancakes.  Dan of course was a sweetie and got me some beautiful roses and came through with the Daisy Marc Jacobs perfume I was hinting at (even if he did go buy it the morning of!).   I got the outfit that he's wearing on our fun date to Beau Bo's which was delicious.

Fun with my Ladies

Can I just say I love my sisters and mother.  I am so grateful to have 4 beautiful, fun, loving best friends in my life.  My mom was so sweet to use her points to stay at the US Grant in downtown SD.  We hung out in the hotel getting ready for a night out on the town.  We ate at a new delicious restaurant called Double Standard, the brussel sprouts were AHmazing.  Then we just walked around downtown, looking at shops. We spent quit some time at Starbucks people watching, laughing, and Erin making me look like Collette Reardon!  We later went back to the hotel and decided to get comfy in our PJ's which Erin and I happened to have the same one's.  We ventured out to baked bear in PB which has the best homemade ice-cream sandwich. Poor Whit was such a trooper, she was on the Master Cleanse (which is hell, I have done it twice) and didn't take a single bite of all the food that was consumed over the 2 days.  Saturday the boys (minus mine since Grant was sick) came down to Coronado to ride bikes and then we had lunch at Soda and Swine.  I am so grateful to have my family close by, we always know how to have fun!

Yes I ATE the entire thing- so yummy!

Christmas Festivities

Always have to make sure to get our Christmas ornament at Seaworld for the boys to put on their trees.

Grant was so excited to put the star on top of the Christmas tree since I am a mean mom and don't let the boys help decorate my tree...what, they have their own!!!

We were able to visit the Mormon Battalion Center with Grandma and Grandpa Brashear.  We were the only one's there so Noah was excited to get dressed up as a soldier.  Of course we ended the day at delicious Guadalajara.

Such a great family night at the temple listening to beautiful Christmas music and seeing the pretty lights.

Haven't missed a fancy Bostonia ward Christmas dinner yet!

The Wilckinson's are always so nice to have Santa and Mrs' Claus come visit all the kiddos. This is the second time and the kids always get so excited.  This year all the kids where upstairs when Santa was leaving and for some reason the kids were looking out the window and saw Santa get in a car and drive away.  Noah ran down to tell me and I had to turn away from him to keep from laughing. I am not a good liar and not quick enough or clever enough to come up with a reason as to why Santa was riding in a car and not his sled.  Sometimes it is just too hard keeping up with Santa being real, is it worth it?!  Noah always says all of the Santa's you see around are fake but at least he still believes in the REAL Santa that comes to his house!

As always I enjoy when I can help in Noah's class, he gets so excited when his "mom" comes to his class to help.

Dan is not a fan of the fact that I won't let tradition go.  Every year since the boys were little we have taken a picture in front of Starlight Circle.  Last  year no one and including this year wanted to walk the circle- what is wrong with people.  So once again we had to jump out take a quick pic and jump back in the car.  Well at least I got our picture.

Here's another tradition he gets bugged about!  I know the Huish's house is crazy busy but we can't not go.  The boys this year wrote letters to Santa.  Dan tried to make us leave when he saw the line for taking a picture with Santa, but it's tradition!

Darn Noah's ear sticking out, where's Whitney when I need her!

My awesome cousin Chad had bout about 10 laser guns so we could play at thanksgiving.  The boys loved them, it was the only thing they asked for for Christmas.  And where are they now, up in a closet, never played with.  I guess we will have them for the Thanksgiving 2015 reunion!
